2017 Taiwan、Japan Culture Workshop Shiny Inaugurated
"Taiwan、Japan Culture Workshop" was held at Education College on March 15, 2017. This event was sponsored by Hsing Wu University, Kyoai Gakuen University, and National Dong Hwa University. With the resources of three universities, international cultural communication is linked accordingly. The invited honorable guests include Dr. Ming - Chou Liu, Chair of Education Department; Dr. Te - Sheng Chang, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs; Dr. Chin - Wen Fan, Dean of Education College; Dr. Chin - Peng Chu, Vice President who is also invited to make the opening remarks.
The themes of the workshop are based on genuine cultures and hands - on activities. The original designers of the curricula are teacher Tsai - Chen Lee, Hsing Wu University; teacher Yukiko Negishi. Kyoai Gakuen University; and Dr. Cheng - Hsiung Lu, National Dong Hwa University. Attendees are from 12 countries： Burkina Faso, Gambia, Belize, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Malawi, Vietnam, USA, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and Taiwan. What is worthy of mention is that staff of the workshop are from Dong Hwa University, Veronica, Chia - Lien, Landon, Josh, Teddy, Sandro, Magda, and they fulfill an excellent job of performance. In addition, Su - You and Ming - Jian also provide on - the - site efficient administrative support.
Because attendees are from various countries, the atmosphere of international communication is passionate. As Japanese students wear their splendid traditional clothes along with colorful African and Southeastern Asian's costumes, workshop participants are fascinated by the glory of the clothing. Via curriculum interaction, chatting, and taking pictures, attendees are relaxing to cross the culture borders and enjoy their multicultural learning. The workshop is finished with the warm friendship and memory. While one - day short visit to Dong Hwa University is not enough, as said in the Vice President's opening remarks, another chance to meet at Dong Hwa again is anticipated in the future.
