]]> 2024-01-29 Our recent trip to Vietnam as part of the Cross-Cultural Management course was a profoundly enriching and eye-opening learning experience through tours and visits organized under the leadership of Professor Mohammad Shadab Khalil and Professor Chin-Jung Joseph Luan of the Department of International Business（IB）, National Dong Hwa University. During the six days in Ho Chi Minh City from December 3^rd to December 8^th, 2023, we witnessed Vietnam's diverse culture and vibrant business landscape.

This center was established to integrate the international affairs of the whole college. ]]> 2023-11-21 National Dong Hwa University（NDHU）has been committed to promoting international exchanges since its establishment. Recently, the university had the privilege of hosting a visit from the Asia New Zealand Foundation's Leadership Network. ]]> 2023-10-31 The 2023 Mrs. Fumei Wu Scholarship-winning team from National Dong Hwa University's（NDHU）Center for International Indigenous Affairs（CIIA）participated in the World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium（WINHEC）Annual Conference held in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA, from July 17^th to 20^th. The team consisted of Mulas Ismahasan Islituan（Bunun）, who is pursuing a Ph.D. in Ethnic Relations and Cultures at NDHU, Away Maya Titiyon（SaySiyat）, who will soon be attending NDHU's Ethnic Relations and Cultures program after graduating from New Taipei Municipal Jin-Shan High School, Temi Pihu（Seediq）, who is currently enrolled in the Indigenous Cultural Studies Master's program at Providence University, and Sakalatamdaw a Picodadan immersive education team member Siuk Saliyud（Amis）, who also a very dedicated tribal-community elementary school teacher.

]]> 2023-08-16 The World Indigenous Higher Education Consortium（WINHEC）originated from the signing of the "Declaration of Indigenous Peoples in Higher Education" in Canada in 2002, initiating a transnational organizational effort to practice Indigenous education sovereignty. The 2023 WINHEC annual general meeting（AGM） was held from July 17 to 20 in Fairbanks, Alaska, USA, with attendance from founding member nations, including Alaska, Aotearoa（New Zealand）, Australia, Canada, Hawaii, Sámi, Taiwan, and USA- mainland. Over a hundred participants, both on-site and online, as well as local communities, attended this year's meeting.

]]> 2023-06-19 (2023) The Times Higher Education (THE) announced the "Impact Rankings 2023", with more than 1,500 universities from 112 countries participating in the evaluation based on 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) . National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) was ranked 301-400^th in the world, an improvement of nearly 100 places, and tied for 10^th among the 45 universities in Taiwan that participated in the evaluation. Both its ranking in Taiwan and in the world have grown compared to last year, reflecting NDHU's continuous efforts in university education.

]]> 2023-06-06 To allow faculty and staff members at National Dong Hwa University to experience the beauty of Taiwan's mountains and forests, become acquainted with the unique protected species, convey the concept of "Leave No Trace" in the forest and promote biodiversity, and actively implement the sustainable development goals declared by President Han-Chieh Chao, the university organized the "Good Morni MIT" special screening event and post-screening discussion on March 29^th, 2023. This event, conducted in both Chinese and English, encouraged plastic-free and carbon-reduction implementation. In addition to watching the documentary film "Good Morni MIT," Vice President Chin-Peng Chu delivered the opening speech, while two Dong Hwa alumni, Sheng-Wun Jheng and You-Zhu Lin, who are researchers on the salamander project, were invited as panel speakers, sharing with faculty and staff members, students, and partners on the topics of the salamander, mountains and forests, plastic reduction, and conservation issues. A post-screening survey was also designed to increase interaction and communication with the audience.

]]> 2022-12-13 The Center for International Indigenous Affairs(CIIA) in the College of Indigenous Studies, National Dong Hwa University, Hualien, Taiwan, led a Regional Gathering of the Native American Indigenous Studies Association(NAISA), from April 22-25, on Pongso no Tao(Lanyu/Orchid Island). Juried and awarded by the international NAISA Council, the CIIA event was one of eight global gatherings, and the only one held in Asia. The Regional Gathering was co-conceived by CIIA Director Dr. Jolan Hsieh(Bavaragh Dagalomai) and the Visiting Scholar Dr. Dana Powell. The event is an integral part of Hsieh and Powell's 2021-2022 Taiwan Ministry of Science and Technology(MOST) Instructional Research Award - The Global Connection and Collaborative : Indigenous Peoples and Sustainable Development.

]]> 2022-05-29 Miss Arada Mahasawin（also known as Neem）, the first international master graduate from the Department of Tourism, Recreation, and Leisure Studies, National Dong Hwa University won the first prize in the "SUPER FAN of Taiwan" event in Thailand on Apr. 9, 2022. The first prize included the round-trip ticket from Bangkok to Taiwan of Starlux Airlines（worth 22,250 THB）, cash 5,000 THB, and the limited edition of Easy Card（with 888 NTD）.

]]> 2021-12-16 The annual Pan-Pacific University League Alliance Conference meeting was held on October 22^nd 2021 at the Lakeshore Hotel, organized by the National Dong Hwa University（NDHU）. President Han-Chieh Chao said that it was rare in recent years for a meeting to be attended by all of the Presidents of the Alliance Universities, with the reason being to welcome the new Alliance member, the National Taiwan Ocean University（NTOU）. President Hsu Tai-Wen from the NTOU said that by joining the Alliance they can be part of a larger team and each member can bring their own areas of individual expertise to help develop new projects for the benefit of all. President Hsu then presented gifts of health care products which NTOU developed to the Alliance's Presidents.

]]> 2021-08-02 In response to the Ministry of Education's Higher Education project called SPROUT （Sustained Progress and Rise of Universities in Taiwan 高教深耕） the National Dong Hwa University's （NDHU） College of Indigenous Peoples （CIS） is leading a project called College - Indigenous Communities Alliance （部落結盟） , which serves CIS's missions and goals to students and indigenous communities. Professors Jolan HSIEH （Bavaragh Dagalomai謝若蘭） and CHEN Yi-feng （陳毅峰） has planned and arranged two critical learning field trips for their doctoral students in the Fall semester of 2020 for this project. The critical leaning field trips are for engaging doctoral students' to connect academic theories to indigenous knowledge and critical issues.
