National Hualien University of Education formally integrated with National Dong Hwa University.

Both University Councils of National Dong Hwa University and National Hualien University of Education adopted the proposal to integrate.

Dr Wen-Shu Huang was appointed President.

August 2001

Dr Mu stepped down; Vice President, Dr Wen-Shu Huang, served as Acting President.

July 1994

National Dong Hwa University was formally established. Dr Mu was appointed as the founding President of National Dong Hwa University.

November 1991

Preparatory Office of National Dong Hwa University was established. Dr Tzung-Tsann Mu was named Director of the Preparatory Office.
