The shocking 0403 earthquake earlier this year has made it difficult for National Dong Hwa University（NDHU）to release its sustainability report as expected. However, with the concerted efforts, the NDHU 2023 Sustainability Report was successfully published in October 2024. The report provides a comprehensive disclosure of the university's actions and achievements in ESG（Environmental, Social, and Governance）, including environmental conservation, social engagement, and talent cultivation. The opening section of the report features a special edition that presents results from activities and research projects related to the 17 UN SDGs and Taiwan's 18 SDGs. A one-page summary highlights NDHU's key accomplishments in 2023.

After having been committed to environmental and ecological protection for decades, National Dong Hwa University in 2020 has signed the SDGs（Sustainable Development Goals）declaration to build a sustainable development vision for 2030. In the 2023 World University Impact Rankings（THE Impact Rankings 2023）, the overall ranking is 301~400 in the world, and the "terrestrial ecology" and "affordable and clean energy" in the SDGs are among the top 100 in the world.
