NDHU Honors YU Kan-ping with National Award for Arts  and WINHEC International Recognition

National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) held an Award Celebration and Youth Empowerment Workshop on January 10, 2026, to honor Distinguished Honorary Doctor YU Kan-ping for receiving Taiwan’s 24th National Award for Arts and the Service for Indigenous Education Award presented by the World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium (WINHEC) in 2025. The event was organized by Professor Jolan Hsieh ( Bavaragh Dagalonai 謝若蘭), Director of the Center for International Indigenous Affairs, and brought together faculty, students, Indigenous community leaders, and cultural practitioners.
National Dong Hwa University and Shoufeng Junior High School Collaborations International Students Participate in Campus English Singing Competition

Shoufeng Junior High School in Hualien County held a campus English singing competition, with faculty and students from National Dong Hwa University(NDHU)in attendance. The event took place on December 31, 2025, at Shoufeng Junior High School, where students from each class performed English songs and showcased their talents on stage. Faculty and students from NDHU's Department of Finance and the Department of English, as well as the Ph.D. Program in Asia-Pacific Regional Studies, served as hosts and judges. The long-term partnership and resource sharing between Shoufeng Junior High School and NDHU exemplify a model of university social responsibility and a new approach to localized engagement by international students.
